Inter Sassuolo Highlights Oggi

Highlights of Sassuolo-Inter 1-0: Laurienté Downs the Nerazzurri

Serie A Matchday 35: Inter's Scudetto Hopes Dwindle

Sassuolo earned a crucial 1-0 victory over Inter Milan on Sunday evening in a Serie A Matchday 35 clash. Armand Laurienté's second-half strike proved decisive, condemning the Nerazzurri to their second defeat of the season against the Neroverdi.

Inzaghi's Men Falter Again

Inter's defeat in Reggio Emilia dealt a significant blow to their Scudetto ambitions. Simone Inzaghi's side had hoped to keep alive their slim chances of reaching the 100-point mark but now face an uphill battle with just three games remaining.

The loss also marks the first time that Inter have lost consecutive league games to Sassuolo, who have now scored at least two goals in five of their last seven home matches against the Nerazzurri.

Sassuolo's Continued Success Against Inter

Sassuolo's victory extends their impressive record against Inter, with the Neroverdi having now scored at least two goals in more away games against the Milanese giants than any other team.

Alessio Dionisi's men have shown a remarkable ability to trouble Inter, particularly at the Mapei Stadium, where they have now won three of their last four Serie A encounters.

Laurienté's Winning Goal

Laurienté netted the only goal of the match in the 64th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from Inter's Francesco Acerbi. The French forward cut inside and fired a low shot into the bottom corner, giving Inter goalkeeper André Onana no chance.

The win lifts Sassuolo up to 15th place in the Serie A standings, while Inter remains in second place, 12 points behind leaders Napoli.
