WEB Hurley and Kellogg recently sat down with Andrea and Dan Hurley's family to discuss their basketball journey. Bobby Hurley, the former Duke and Sacramento Kings guard who now coaches the Phoenix Suns, spoke about the importance of family in his career.
Dan Hurley's Family
Dan Hurley, the son of famed coach Bob Hurley Sr. and brother to Bobby Hurley, credits his family for his success. He said, "My family has always been there for me, through the good times and the bad. They've always believed in me, and I wouldn't be where I am today without them."
Robert Hurley's Rise
The youngest of six boys, Robert Hurley followed in his older brothers' footsteps and became a standout basketball player. After a successful high school career, he enrolled at the University of Connecticut, where he helped lead the Huskies to a national championship in 2014.
Dan Hurley's Brag Rights
After Dan's UConn team defeated Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament, he earned some bragging rights over his brother Bobby. In a post-game interview, Dan joked, "I guess I have a little bit of bragging rights now. But I'm sure Bobby will get me back at some point."
