Robinsons 21 Kills Not Enough As Lsu Falls To No 18 Baylor

Robinson's 21 kills not enough as LSU falls to No. 18 Baylor

Robinson's 21 kills sets LSU single match record

Despite LSU volleyball star Taylor Robinson setting a new program single-match record with 21 kills, the No. 22 Tigers fell to No. 18 Baylor in three sets on Wednesday night at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers dropped to 10-6 overall while the Bears improved to 8-5.

Baylor’s block party

Robinson's 21 kills came on 43 attacks for a .395 hitting percentage, but it was not enough as Baylor's block came up big at the net, totaling 12 blocks to LSU's three.

Baylor hit .358 as a team compared to .263 for the Tigers.

Baylor’s balanced attack

The Bears had three players with at least 10 kills, led by freshman Yossiana Pressley's 15 kills. Lauren Harrison and Mallory Talbert added 12 and 10 kills, respectively.

LSU's offense was led by Robinson, with Sanaa Dotson adding eight kills and Karli Rose adding six kills.

Disappointing outing for LSU

The loss was a disappointing one for LSU, which was coming off a big win over No. 16 Florida on Sunday.

The Tigers will look to bounce back on Friday when they travel to College Station, Texas to take on Texas A&M.
